Rev. Mark Sexton
Mark Sexton was born in Anderson, SC, and has lived there for all but seven years of his life. He attended Anderson area schools and graduated from TL Hanna High School and Anderson College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a vocal concentration. Mark has been married to his wife, Traci Brown Sexton, for 35 years, and they have three adult sons: Jacob, Jordan, and John.
Since 1999, Mark has served Southern Baptist Churches as a worship pastor and student pastor. He and Traci were part of four different church plants before coming to Concord in 2015. They felt at home immediately, finding a new family in the choir and Sunday School. Concord is a very special place for them, as they have many extended family members there.
Mark considers it a great honor and privilege to serve as the Associate Pastor of Music & Worship. His passion is to lead others to use their gifts for God’s glory and he believes great days are ahead for Concord.
