Hello Senior Saints of Concord Baptist Church and Friends,
The LORD has a plan and purpose for each and every one of us. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” So often we will use this verse to tell our children or grandchildren that God truly does have a plan for their lives; because, we have experienced it in our earlier lives also. But I want to challenge each of you today, that if you still have breath, God still has a plan and purpose for your life.
By the time you are reading this, Lori and I and others in our church and staff will have gone through the Place Training, (a spiritual gifts assessment and placement seminar training). As a church staff, we desire to help people discern their spiritual gifts and get them plugged into current and future ministry opportunities. I am familiar with Place Ministries and I’m excited to learn it and share it with you all in the future.
The combination of Jeremiah 29:11 and Place Training will come together for many of you—If you are willing. It was great to see several of you serving during VBS and around the church. But what if more of us got involved and served in and outside of the church—what would be our kingdom impact for the glory of God?
Start praying today:
1. How might God use you?
2. What ministries would you be interested in serving in – in the church and/or outside the church?
3. How might Place Ministries help me discern God’s will for my life during this season of my life?
4. What ministries/service project/etc… may the LORD want me to start?
