Michael’s Blog | June
Hello Senior Saints of Concord Baptist Church and Friends,
I pray this newsletter finds you well today. I truly do feel blessed to serve a wonderful church family and you the Senior Adults of Concord Baptist Church. I have been amazed by all this church does and the busyness of our seniors. You all are always going and going and doing and doing.
As you know, you will be receiving this newsletter right before two different but similar events in the life of our church and seniors. June 3, the church will be having our annual church-wide picnic at Anderson University Athletic Fields. This has been a fun free event for our church and guests. It is also an opportunity to invite others to the picnic to introduce them to the church family in a non-threating fun way. If you have friends or children/grandchildren/nieces or nephews invite them to come with you to the church-wide picnic.
The second event is our own June 6, Sadler’s Creek Seniors Picnic. Hopefully you signed up for this picnic by the deadline. This is your reminder to be at Sadler’s Creek by 10:30 AM so as not to miss out on any of the fun. Also, if you have already signed up for the picnic and would like to ride the bus, call Madi for details, (225-4621 ext. 133).
Devotional Thought:
Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken to- gether, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” You all know the purpose and meaning of this verse. As Senior Saints, you have served this church well for many many years. Because of your sacrificial service and love for this church, we have beautiful facilities and min- istries all over this campus. You have given much to the success of CBC. Thank you for your service and love. Over the next few months, we as a church are to be praying and seeking the LORD’s will about a direction for the church and our children and young people. You all will play an important role in this possibility. Seek the LORD and His will!
In Christ, Michael Kinard
