Michael’s Blog | January 2025
Hey Forever Young Family and Friends,
The New Year 2025 is here, and it feels like time is flying by faster and faster!
Last January, I encouraged you to “make 2024 the year of spiritual growth and service.” I hope you have grown closer to the LORD and served Him and His church more this past year. Growing spiritually should be something we aim for every year.
This year, I want us to focus on growing in our understanding of prayer. We have an exciting opportunity to learn more about prayer in a way many of us haven’t experienced before. Between now and May 1st, please pray for our Going Deeper in Prayer – Prayer Conference with Dr. James Banks. If you’d like to help plan or serve during the conference, please let me know as we put the plans together.
1 Chronicles 16:8-11 8“Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! 9Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! 10Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! 11Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!”
In Chronicles, we are reminded to talk to the LORD in prayer and to tell others about Him. We are also called to seek Him with all our hearts. Let us make 2025 a year of Going and Growing Deeper in Prayer! Each month I plan to share different verses from the Bible to challenge and grow us in our prayer lives. Therefore spend time with the scripture above in study and in prayer.
Our ministry opportunities, like Forever Young Adventures, Forever Young Grows, and Forever Young Serves, will continue to help us build friendships and live as the church. You will hear more through mail, email, OneCall, our Facebook group, and the Church Center app. Keep watching for updates and expect great things from God!
On behalf of my family, thank you so much for your generosity and kindness during the Christmas season. Your monetary gifts, kind words, and encouragement mean so much to us. We love and appreciate all of you!
In Christ’s love and with our love,
Rev. Michael and Lori Kinard (and Michaela)
