Michael’s Blog I November
Hey Forever Young and Friends,
A few activities to remind you to sign-up for: November Forever Luncheon and Christmas Celebration with Jason Lovins Band Luncheon or Supper. During the November Luncheon, I have planned a Thanksgiving Share Time. I have done this over the years in ministry and I have found it to be one of those special services I have enjoyed the most. The Christmas Celebration with Jason Lovins Band will be a favorite of ours this year. Jason Lovins and his band love the LORD and you do not want to miss this time together. Both of these are already on Realm and you can sign up online, in the front office, or with Madi.
1Thessalonians 5:16-18 “16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
As you just read the passage above, what comes to mind?
Three things I want you to notice:
1. “Rejoice always” – in whatever circumstance we find ourselves, God commands us to rejoice. We learn to rejoice in Him and through Him. To rejoice is a choice for you and me. When we choose to rejoice, all our circumstances and difficulties can be seen as opportunities to rejoice in the LORD and His wisdom and will.
2. “Pray without ceasing” – a continual, consistent attitude of prayer. This is a life of prayer. Our choice to pray, our choice to pray without ceasing will reflect our trust in the LORD. 3. “In everything give thanks” – learning to rejoice and pray continual will overflow into a life of giving thanks. I often call it thanksliving. Living a life of thanks to the LORD for all He has done for me!
Therefore, I will challenge you to think about something you need to rejoice in and that which you have continually prayed for and see how easily thanksliving flows from these.
In Christ, Rev. Michael Kinard

Forever Young Serves – Spotlight – Each month at the Forever Young Luncheon, we take up the “tip” money to go towards different mission’s projects we have ongoing. One way the “tip” helps is to support our Compassion Children. Another way it can help is to be used towards the mission’s emphasis each month with a gift card or supplies. This November we will be gathering items and/or money for the Haven of Rest
