Michael’s Blog March 2025
Hey Forever Young Family and Friends,
As 2025 continues to fly by, we are still diving into the Holy Scriptures on prayer. The verses are Ephesians 1:15-21. Each month, I share a few brief thoughts about the passage. I hope you take time to read and study it more on your own.
Ephesians 1:15-21 15“Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
17that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.”
In this passage, the apostle Paul is encouraged by the church in Ephesus. He shares a powerful and uplifting prayer for them. As you read the scripture again, I encourage you to pray these words over Concord Baptist Church—our members and our staff. Imagine how strong and full of Christ our church would be if we, as the Forever Young Ministry, truly committed to praying these words from our hearts. If we do, we will continue to see God do amazing things through this body of believers! Please use this as a model prayer for CBC and other churches as we work together for God’s Kingdom.
This past month, we had the Legacy Choir from Taylors First Baptist join us for our Forever Young Luncheon—and all I can say is WOW! This group truly blessed us! If you missed them, don’t worry— we will definitely have them back next year!
We also had one of our biggest luncheons yet—207 people! Yes, 57 of them were the choir, but that still means 150 of you showed up, which was amazing! I know some of you couldn’t come, so be sure to sign up early next time to save your seat!
Our ministry opportunities, like Forever Young Adventures, Forever Young Grows, and Forever Young Serves, will continue to help us build friendships and live as the church. You will hear more through mail: Forever Young Connection—this newsletter, email: mkinard@concordbaptist.com , OneCall, our Facebook group: @foreveryoungcbc/ , and the Church Center app.
In Christ’s love and with our love,
Rev. Michael and Lori Kinard (and Michaela)
