Hey Forever Young Family and Friends,

When God hears His children pray or cry out to Him, He desires to respond with His answer and will.  This month, I encourage you to read 2 Chronicles 6:19-21. Don’t just read it—let it become a prayer from your heart:

2 Chronicles 6:19-21    19“Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O LORD my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You: 20that Your eyes may be open toward this temple day and night, toward the place where You said You would put Your name, that You may hear the prayer which Your servant makes toward this place. 21And may You hear the supplications of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and when You hear, forgive.”

In this passage, Solomon is praying to the LORD. He shows us how to pray by calling out to God. Solomon is talking about the temple he built, but he reminds us to focus on the LORD when we pray. We can ask God not only to hear our prayers but also to answer them. Let’s make 2025 a year to go deeper in our prayer lives.

This month, we have a special event! The Legacy Choir from Taylors First Baptist will join us for our Forever Young Luncheon on February 4. I pray you signed up before January 30th! We will meet in the Worship Center for the concert and then move to the Gym for lunch.

Our ministry opportunities, like Forever Young Adventures, Forever Young Grows, and Forever Young Serves, will continue to help us build friendships and live as the church.

You will hear more through mail: Forever Young Connection—this newsletter,

email: mkinard@concordbaptist.com , OneCall, our Facebook group: @foreveryoungcbc/ , and the Church Center app.

In Christ’s love and with our love,

Rev. Michael and Lori Kinard (and Michaela)

P.S. My cell number is 864-314-1968. You can call or text me anytime! If I don’t answer right away, I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. My church phone is working again and can take messages too.

Forever Young Grows:  Keep praying for our Going Deeper in Prayer – Prayer Conference with Dr. James Banks, happening May 1-3.

Forever Young Luncheon Mission Emphasis: At our February Luncheon, we will collect money for the Gideons. We usually use the “tip” money to support our Compassion Children, but we

currently have enough to meet that need. This month, the “tip” money will go to support the work of the Gideons!
