Hey Forever Young and Friends,
Philippians 4:6-7 – 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Today, I felt led to share this verse with you because I know and have heard that some of you are having some anxious feelings about some of the changes/steps forward in church’s media, digital and print communication strategies. I do realize during the new year some of this has seemed to be fast and furious. I do not want to paint these issues with a wide brush and just say change happens, we all have to deal with it. No! As your Associate Pastor, I desire to help, serve, and shepherd you as best I can as we navigate these new things.
The world is moving so fast around us and sometimes we can feel as though we are being left behind and we struggle with keeping up. But The LORD is always with us, to help us in our moment of need. In the verse above Paul challenges us to “present our request to God.” Make it a matter of prayer. God will help to comfort you and give you peace. Many of you have experienced His comfort and peace at times in your life, why not trust him to do the same with these issues you face today! If you are struggling or just want someone to pray and try to help, it is my desire serve you and the Lord, but I need to know therefore do not hesitate to reach out me.
Yes, a lot of things are taking place in the life of CBC, Praise the LORD! May CBC continue to be an alive church, whose heart and passion is to LEAD, EQUIP and SEND people into the world to glorify the LORD!
